Oathmark Dwarf Heavy Infantry Review

I just ordered the Oathmark Dwarf Heavy Infantry. The rule book for Oathmark - Battles of the Lost Age will be released by Osprey at the beginning of next year. However, you can use these minis, of course, for other fantasy rule sets. Like Warlords of Erehwon, Dragon Rampant and others. The miniatures are sculpted by Northstar Military Figures and like all the other UK companies the plastic sprues are done by Renedra. Inside the box you find 30 miniatures on 6 sprues a 5 minis. The Dwarf Heavy infantry is wielding one hand weapons with shields or two-handed weapons. There are also options to build standard bearers and leaders/champions. The weapons are typical dwarfish like hammers, axes and some swords. The sprue contains 5 shields but only 2 different designs. You have also the choice to attach some accessories to the belts. Like a beer mug, horn, throwing axe and more. The sprue really shines when it comes to the head varieties. You can choose between 22! different head options. The scale is 28mm true scale, which means they are not as big as the GW dwarfs. The casting quality is really good with almost no flesh, like everything from Renedra. They come with 30 25mm bases, which might be too big for other game systems, like Kings of War?
In my opinion it's a really good box of dwarf heavy infantry. You get really nice minis for a price between $39.99 (regular retail)-$29.99 (reduced sale at Fantization Miniatures).
The pictures show the front and back of one of the 6 spures and 5 assembled minis including standard bearer and leader/champion.
